HR MANAGEMENT
Semen Baturaja is committed to managing HR through different policies and competency development programs that are regularly implemented on the Company’s employees at all levels. The numerous policies and programs implemented are aimed at creating human resources with high quality and work ethic so that they will have a positive influence on the development of the Company in conductingbusiness activities while creating sustainable values.
To ensure that HR management is carried out according to the design and strategy specified, Semen Baturaja has prepared Program Target of Directorate of General & HR as a reference and guideline in its implementation. Through this policy, Semen Baturaja seeks to establish an effective and integrated HR management system that includes all aspects of employee performance.
Semen Baturaja’s HR-related management activities and policies are the responsibility of the Human Resource & General Affairs Division that is under the General & HR Director. The HR management function performs various processes starting from recruitment and selection, training and development, performance evaluation, as well as ensuring the creation of a safe and comfortable work environment for all employees. In its implementation, the management of Semen Baturaja’s human resources refers to Planning, Maintanance, Human Resources Development SOP, HR Management SOP also Education and Training SOP. The Company too always complies with all applicable laws and regulations, one of which is demonstrated by compliance with Law Number 13 of 2003 on Manpower and other related regulations.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
One of the efforts of Semen Baturaja to create an ideal work environment that is safe and comfortable is through the management of a good Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) culture. Semen Baturaja realizes that OHS is one of the most important aspects for employees in carrying out the Company’s business activities. By ensuring security and safety in their activities, employees can work in a focused, effective, and maximum manner and will not be hampered by things that interfere with comfort. This will have a good impact on employee productivity so that it will indirectly improve the Company’s business performance. Semen Baturaja therefore is committed to fostering a good OHS culture in every Company’s operational activity, both at the head office and at each factory.
The Company’s commitment to functions its operations safely by applying high standards of Occupational Health and Safety and the Environment (K3LH) is stated in a written Company Policy signed by the President Director. The Mining Division, especially the Safety & Environment Department, is then responsible for managing OHS, under the Director of Production & Development.
As a form of commitment to OHS, Semen Baturaja has implemented an Occupational Health & Safety Management System (SMK3) and has been audited periodically every three years for recertification and once a year for surveillance by external party with the achievement of a gold flag for all sites.
