The certificate was held between Jobi Triananda Hasjim as the previous President Director with Daconi as the new President Director, and M Jamil as the previous Director of Finance and Risk Management with Tubagus Muhammad Dharury as the new Director of Finance and Risk Management, and Amrullah as the previous Director of General Affairs and HR with Gatot Mardiana as the new Director of General Affairs and Human Resources and the welcoming of Suherman Yahya as the new Director of Production and Development. This inauguration is based on the Agenda of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for the 2021 Fiscal Year on March 25, 2022.

The event was attended by Oke Nurwan Commissioner and Chodwadja Sanova Independent Commissioner, and Endang Tirtana ex Independent Commissioner who attended hybridly via online and was also attended offline by Darusman Mawardi, Independent Commissioner.

In connection with the change in the Company’s management according to the decision at the 2021 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on March 25, 2022, the Management introduced the new Board of Directors to the Governor of South Sumatra in the Meeting Room of the South Sumatra Provincial Government.

The President Director of SMBR Daconi introduced the Director of Finance and Risk Management Tubagus Muhammad Dharury, General & HR Director Gatot Mardiana, Production & Development Director Suherman Yahya. The newest Board of Directors was accompanied by SMBR’s VP Corporate Secretary Doddy Irawan.

The Governor of South Sumatra Herman Deru warmly welcomed the arrival of the Board of Directors of the Company’s SMBR and encouraged SMBR to move forward under the new management. Also present were the Head of PU Perkim of South Sumatra, Basyaruddin Akhmad and the Head of the South Sumatra Economic Affairs Office, Afrian Joni.

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) has just held the 2021 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) at Wisma Antara, Central Jakarta on Friday (25/03) chaired directly by the Company’s President Commissioner, Franky Sibarani.

As one of the state-owned companies in South Sumatra that is engaged in the cement industry, SMBR recorded a positive performance in 2021 by pocketing the Company’s net profit of Rp 51.8 billion. The net profit in 2021 is set as other reserves used for company investment in accordance with the consideration of Indonesia’s economic conditions, the need for funds for development investment and to maintain the Company’s liquidity in good condition.

This time, the AGMS also approved changes to the composition of the company’s management. Changes in the composition of the company’s management are based on the need to face challenges to SOEs in the future. The Company would like to thank and give the highest appreciation for the contribution of the replaced company management in maintaining the financial and operational performance of SMBR.

Jamil, it was reported that if the company succeeded in going through a difficult situation during the Covid-19 Pandemic by recording a sales volume of 1.9 million tons, an increase of 1% from 2020. The company was also able to maintain its share market in the Southern Sumatra (Sumbagsel) region, which is 31%. In addition, an increase in market share occurred in the Lampung region which reached 29% or increased by 1% (yoy).
In terms of financial performance, the Company was able to maximize sales with the achievement of 1.8 trillion or an increase of 2% from the realization in 2020. So that the Company’s net profit performance grew 372% to Rp 51.8 billion in 2021.

“Although the cement industry is still experiencing oversupply conditions, the Company’s positive performance does not escape the strategic initiatives that we implement in the company to continue to make efficiency through the SMBRGO45 program and increase productivity through SMBRGO3T.” added Jamil.

SMBRGO45 is a strategic initiative of the company through the implementation of production cost efficiency programs, including increasing the use of coal from the most economical sources, maintaining smooth operations with Predictive Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance programs, optimizing cement production, optimizing the use of B3 waste as raw material and energy, and optimizing blasting methods. compared to surface mining methods.

In increasing employee productivity, the Company implements the SMBRGO3T strategy through an organizational restructuring program. With organizational changes will optimize employee performance in accordance with their fields.

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) has carried out the Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (INDI 4.0) assessment with an assessment score of 3.0 based on the expose of INDI 4.0 verification results on December 10, 2021 by the Center for Materials and Technical Goods ( B4T). This score shows that SMBR is at the Mature Readiness level.

The assessment is in order to measure the company’s level of readiness to transform towards industry 4.0 in accordance with the follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of SOEs and the Ministry of Industry regarding the Implementation of the Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (INDI 4.0) for SOEs.
SMBR is currently preparing for the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology. This program is one of the Company’s efforts in preparing the company to transform towards industry 4.0 and is a form of support for the Making BUMN 4.0 Program as part of the Making Indonesia 4.0 Program.

In 2021, SMBR has implemented the Intelligence Process Control System in the pyroprocessing (combustion) process and is planning to continue in the milling process. In addition, in 2022, SMBR also plans to implement AI-based Predictive Maintenance for main plant equipment.
