SMBR Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the South Sumatra Regional Police to Secure National Vital Objects

PALEMBANG – In an effort to maintain a conducive security situation in operational activities and the company’s National Vital Object, PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) signed a memorandum of understanding with the South Sumatra Regional Police on Wednesday (09/03) at the South Sumatra Police Headquarters.
The signing of this memorandum of understanding was carried out directly by SMBR President Director Jobi Triananda Hasjim and South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Toni Harmanto.
The event was also attended by the main officials in the ranks of the South Sumatra Police Headquarters, the South Sumatra Regional Police PJU, while the SMBR management representatives were attended by the General Director and HR Amrullah, the Vice President Corporate Secretary Doddy Irawan, the HR & GA Vice President Fitria Margaretha and other staff.
“I hope that this collaboration and security assistance from the South Sumatra Police can increase synergy in terms of securing vital objects at SMBR.” Jobi said
Through this collaboration, it is hoped that the South Sumatra Regional Police can ensure the passage of security activities, anticipate potential disturbances and enforce law related to SMBR operational activities in the South Sumatra region.
SMBR itself has been registered as a national vital object of the industrial sector in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 466/M-IND/Kep/8/2014 so that the company’s industrial area deserves security protection.
