JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) has once again demonstrated its commitment to product quality and standard. SMBR has won a prestigious award with a Silver rating in the 2024 SNI Award event, organized by the National Standardization Agency (BSN).
This award was received directly by SMBR’s Senior Manager of Secretarial & Stakeholder Management Pramaja Gusnady who represented the company at the event which took place on Thursday (21/11) at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta.
The 2024 SNI Award was held as a form of appreciation from the government to companies and organizations that have successfully implemented the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) properly. The implementation of SNI not only helps business actors improve product quality and efficiency, but also strengthens competitiveness in the international market.
Pramaja expressed his gratitude for this award. “This achievement is thanks to the hard work of all Semen Baturaja employees who continue to strive to ensure that products are not only of high quality, but also meet the established quality standards, both in terms of technical and safety aspects,” he said.
He added that all SMBR products, both bagged and bulk cement, have been SNI certified and are produced with environmentally friendly technology. “We are committed to continuing to present quality products that not only meet customer needs but also support sustainable development,” said Pramaja.
Carrying the theme “Standardization for Sustainable Economic Transformation”, as many as 251 organizations from various sectors participated in the 2024 SNI Award. Of that number, 69 organizations were declared worthy of receiving the award after going through a rigorous assessment process.
The Head of the National Standardization Agency (BSN), Kukuh S. Achmad, said that the implementation of SNI plays a role in improving product quality and efficiency, which is important to support Indonesia’s economic growth.

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) has once again achieved a proud achievement by winning the Gold Rank award at the 2024 Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) event organized by the National Center for Corporate Reporting (NCCR) and the Institute of Certified Sustainability Practitioners (ICSP) which was attended by domestic and foreign companies.
This award was received directly by SMBR’s Director of Operations Muhammad Syafitri, at an event held at the Raffles Hotel, Jakarta on Thursday (11/21).
This award is real proof of SMBR’s commitment to maintaining sustainability and providing a positive impact on the environment and society as outlined in the sustainability report. This year’s Gold Rank achievement also marks the third time SMBR has won this prestigious award, further strengthening the company’s dedication to implementing sustainability practices.
Muhammad Syafitri expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the award received. “This award is a reflection of our ongoing efforts in integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in every aspect of the company’s operations. We will continue to innovate to support the creation of a sustainable business,” he said.
As part of the effort to realize the ESG principle, in the economic aspect, SMBR continues to create added value through digitalization innovation by implementing the Intelligence Process Control System and increasing operational efficiency through the strategic SMBRGO45 program. In his remarks, NCCR Chairman Ali Darwin, described a significant transformation in sustainability reporting practices. From what was initially only done by a handful of companies, sustainability reporting has now become a common practice in the business world.

Celebrating this precious moment, SMBR held the peak of its Anniversary (HUT) celebration with the theme “Synergy in Building Sustainability” in a Friendly Event held at the SMBR Head Office, Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU), South Sumatra, on Thursday (11/14). This activity is also the peak of a series of events, previously SMBR had carried out various activities such as fashion shows, badminton tournaments, quizzes, tennis, idols, basketball, futsal, fun walks and E-Sports.
Present at this event were the Board of Directors of SMBR, including President Director Suherman Yahya, Director (Finance & HR Function) Rahmat Hidayat, and Director of Operations Muhammad Syafitri, as well as the Board of Commissioners consisting of the President Commissioner who is also an Independent Commissioner Alex Iskandar Munaf, Commissioner Hadi Daryanto, Independent Commissioner Chowadja Sanova and Inosentius Samsul and SMBR employees. Also attending were the Acting Regent of OKU represented by the Regional Secretary of OKU Dharmawan Irianto along with the Forkopimda ranks and the Head of the South Sumatra Baznas Ahmad Marjundi.
In his remarks, the President Director of SMBR Suherman Yahya expressed his appreciation to all parties who have supported SMBR’s journey to date. “This celebration is a moment of reflection and a spur to new enthusiasm for a better future. As a concrete form of the BUMN Social Responsibility Program (TJSL), SMBR distributes various social assistance from the fields of education, health, and community economic empowerment. In this anniversary celebration, SMBR distributed Education Assistance for orphans, half-brothers, and underprivileged children worth IDR 88 million to 240 elementary, junior high, and high school children from Ring 1 covering 6 sub-districts (Sukajadi, Air Gading, Talang Jawa, Tanjung Agung, Saung Naga, and Batu Kuning) and 2 villages (Pusar and Laya), then Education Scholarships for Higher Education worth IDR 30 million to 50 outstanding students from Baturaja University (UNBARA). In addition, through cooperation with Baznas (National Zakat Agency) of South Sumatra Province, SMBR distributed assistance for renovations, medical equipment, and operational support for the Village Health Post (Poskeskel) in Air Gading Village. Then the assistance of the MSME empowerment program through the Z-Chicken business program from Baznas with a total assistance of IDR 95 million for 10 Z-Chicken MSMEs. The assistance came from the Zakat Fund of the Directors and Employees of SMBR.
As part of its commitment to supporting education, the Semen Baturaja Employee Wives Association (IIKSB) also contributed to distributing educational assistance for 81 outstanding children, including 28 elementary school students worth a total of IDR 14 million, 20 junior high school students worth a total of IDR 15 million, 23 high school students worth a total of IDR 23 million, then 10 university students worth a total of 15 million.
Still in the series of 50th Anniversary celebrations, SMBR also held a Journalism Competition which was open to journalists until December 21, 2024. This competition aims to appreciate journalistic works that provide accurate information regarding SMBR’s contribution to national and social development, with a theme in accordance with this year’s SMBR Anniversary theme.
This entire series of activities emphasizes SMBR’s commitment to supporting sustainable development and providing benefits to the surrounding community. The age of 50 is not only an achievement, but also a starting point for SMBR to continue to move forward and face various challenges with a spirit of synergy and innovation.
A glimpse of SMBR’s performance, with the theme of Synergy Building Sustainability, is an encouragement for Semen Baturaja’s employees to produce their best performance. During 2023, SMBR managed to record positive performance in terms of both revenue and profit. Revenue in 2023 amounted to IDR 2.04 trillion, an increase of 8% from 2022 of IDR 1.88 trillion. Meanwhile, the 2023 net profit of IDR121.57 billion shot up 57% compared to the 2022 profit of IDR77.32 billion.

BATURAJA – Approaching the 50th Anniversary with the theme “Synergy to Build Sustainability”, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held a joint prayer and religious lecture event which took place at the SMBR Office in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU), South Sumatra on Wednesday (11/13).
This activity was attended by the entire Board of Directors, including President Director Suherman Yahya, Director of Finance and HR Rahmat Hidayat, and Director of Operations Muhammad Syafitri. Also present were members of the Board of Commissioners, namely Independent Commissioner Chowadja Sanova, along with SMBR employees.
On the same agenda, SMBR through the BUMN Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) handed over donations totaling Rp10 million to 50 orphans and half-orphans to two orphanages, namely Asyifa and An-nur. This activity is a manifestation of SMBR’s commitment to promoting community welfare and providing support for children in need.

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) affirms its commitment to the world of education through the SMBR Mengajar program.
This program will take place from 5 – 12 November 2024 as part of a series of celebrations for SMBR’s 50th anniversary with the theme “Synergy in Building Sustainability”. The SMBR Mengajar program aims to provide education to realize the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045 by improving the quality of human resources that include insights such as knowledge about the cement industry, sustainability principles, and career opportunities in the industrial sector for the younger generation.
The entire Board of Directors participated as speakers, including President Director Suherman Yahya, Director (Finance and HR Function) Rahmat Hidayat, and Director of Operations Muhammad Syafitri. Participation also came from SMBR echelon I, including Vice President of Production Taufik, Vice President of HC & Governance, Risk, and Compliance Fitria Margaretha, and Vice President of Maintenance and Vice President of Technical Plant Eko David Irawan.
The Directors became speakers at universities, namely Sriwijaya University (UNSRI), Baturaja University (UNBARA), and the Sumatra Institute of Technology (ITERA). Then for SMBR echelon I officials became speakers at high schools, namely SMA Negeri 1 Palembang, SMK Negeri 3 OKU, and SMA SMTI Bandar Lampung. Through this program, students gain insight that includes knowledge about the cement industry, sustainability principles, and career opportunities in the industrial sector.
In addition to providing insight and education, SMBR also provided educational assistance with a total value of IDR 48 million, consisting of IDR 30 million for the three universities and IDR 18 million for the three high schools. This assistance is expected to encourage the spirit of learning while helping to meet the educational needs of students.

SMBR signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Baturaja University (UNBARA). The signing ceremony took place at the UNBARA Auditorium, Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU) on Tuesday (5/11).
The signing of the MoU was carried out by the President Director of SMBR, Suherman Yahya, S.T., M.T. and the Chancellor of UNBARA, Ir. Hj. Lindawati, S.T., M.T. This MoU is a change from the previous MoU
by expanding the scope of the scope in various fields, including research, development of science, information and technology, improving the quality of human resources through education and training, internship programs, field work practices, studies and activities in the field of the environment, governance, community empowerment, and promotion for the common good.
The event was attended by the ranks of PT Semen Baturaja, including Vice President of Corporate Secretary Hari Liandu, Vice President of Maintenance and Vice President of Technical Plant Eko David Irawan, along with staff. Meanwhile, from UNBARA, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTK), Ir. SMBR President Director Suherman Yahya in his speech said that this collaboration is a strategic step for SMBR in realizing synergy between academics and industry.

By working together, we can create a generation that is ready to face industry challenges and make a real contribution to realizing Indonesia Emas in 2045,” he said.
Meanwhile, SMBR’s Vice President of Corporate Secretary, Hari Liandu, added that this synergy is an effort to encourage the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Numbers 4 and 17 concerning Quality Education and Partnerships to Achieve Goals.
“We are committed to being present in the academic sphere and supporting the achievement of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which includes education, research, and community service,” added Hari.
The Chancellor of Baturaja University, Ir. Hj. Lindawati, M.Z., M.T., explained that this collaboration is an important bridge to integrate academic knowledge with industrial practices, so that students can gain real experience that supports their readiness to face the world of work.
