Providing Assistance to 50 Orphans, Semen Baturaja is Grateful for its 50th Anniversary Achievement


BATURAJA – Approaching the 50th Anniversary with the theme “Synergy to Build Sustainability”, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held a joint prayer and religious lecture event which took place at the SMBR Office in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU), South Sumatra on Wednesday (11/13).
This activity was attended by the entire Board of Directors, including President Director Suherman Yahya, Director of Finance and HR Rahmat Hidayat, and Director of Operations Muhammad Syafitri. Also present were members of the Board of Commissioners, namely Independent Commissioner Chowadja Sanova, along with SMBR employees.
On the same agenda, SMBR through the BUMN Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) handed over donations totaling Rp10 million to 50 orphans and half-orphans to two orphanages, namely Asyifa and An-nur. This activity is a manifestation of SMBR’s commitment to promoting community welfare and providing support for children in need.
SMBR President Director Suherman Yahya expressed his gratitude for the company’s achievements that have been around for half a decade.
“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful to be able to reach the age of 50. During half a decade of being around, SMBR has gone through many things. As part of SIG, it is hoped that Semen Baturaja will be increasingly Strong and Durable according to its slogan, and continue to make real contributions to national development, not only for the progress of the company but also for the environment and surrounding community,” said Suherman.
Meanwhile, in the tausiyah delivered by Ustadz Teguh, he invited all SMBR people to reflect on the meaning of gratitude for the long journey that SMBR has taken. “Let us always be grateful for the long journey that has been taken and all the blessings that have been bestowed by Allah SWT, because gratitude is the key to happiness and blessings in life,” he concluded.
