JAKARTA – At the end of 2023, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) succeeded in winning the Green Rating Company Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management (PROPER) award again from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) Republic of Indonesia.

This PROPER award was received directly by the Main Director of SMBR Suherman Yahya at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta on (20/12) at the PROPER Environmental Award and Regional Environmental Management Performance event.

The Green PROPER award is given to companies that have carried out environmental management through implementing an environmental management system, utilizing resources efficiently and carrying out social responsibilities well.

Suherman Yahya assesses that this success proves SMBR’s commitment to the sustainable business practices that have been implemented. In line with the company’s vision to become the leading Green Cement Based Building Material Company in Indonesia and supports the implementation of the Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) principles implemented by the company.

“SMBR’s achievement of obtaining Green PROPER is proof that the company has exceeded the requirements (beyond compliance) which include implementing an environmental management system, energy efficiency efforts, emission reduction efforts, efficient use of resources through 4R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recovery) efforts,” as well as management of B3 and non-B3 waste,” said Suherman.

The manifestation of this commitment is the success of SMBR through the continuous innovation programs that have been implemented, including the Energy Efficiency Program through the energy efficiency program for the cement grinding process with the addition of Cement Grinding Aid (CGA) to reduce the slag index. This innovation succeeded in reducing energy by 222,630.67 GJ.

Furthermore, the Emission Reduction Program succeeded in reducing emissions by 20,441.60 tons of CO2 eq through the CGA addition program in the cement milling process. Lastly, the Water Efficiency Program through the backwash water utilization program, this innovation was able to reduce the burden of water pollution by 36,394.5 m3.

PALEMBANG – Rumah BUMN Baturaja merupakan wadah berkumpulnya pelaku UMK untuk belajar bersama dan menciptakan produk kreatif dan berkualitas. Rumah BUMN Baturaja yang dikelola PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) selaku anak usaha PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) berhasil mengantongi sertifikat halal dari Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH) untuk 49 Usaha Mikro dan Kecil (UMK) mitra binaannya.

Proses perolehan sertifikasi halal ini, Rumah BUMN Baturaja bekerjasama dengan Lembaga Pendamping Proses Produk Halal (LP3H) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, yang bertugas mendampingi mitra binaan UMK dalam pengurusan sertifikasi halal serta melakukan vertifikasi dan validasi pengajuan sertifikasi halal dari UMKM.

Vice President of Corporate Secretary SMBR, Basthony Santri mengatakan bahwa dengan adanya sertifikasi halal ini, mitra binaan akan menjadi lebih percaya diri dan meningkatkan peluang baru untuk memasarkan produknya ke pasar yang lebih luas dan semakin memperkuat Rumah BUMN Baturaja dalam memasarkan layanan ritel terbaik dan jaminan kepada pelanggan dalam membeli segala produk yang ada di mitra binaan mereka.

“Pada tahun 2022, Rumah BUMN Baturaja telah berhasil melakukan sertifikasi halal sebanyak 27 mitra binaan. Untuk tahun 2023, per desember ini kami berhasil melakukan sertifikasi sebanyak 22 mitra binaan. Jadi hingga saat ini sudah ada 49 mitra binaan yang telah mengantongi sertifikat halal. Program pendampingan sertifikasi halal ini akan terus kami lakukan sehingga seluruh produk mitra binaan mengantongi sertifikat halal,” kata Basthony.

Tumini, pemilik usaha cemilan Keripik Macho, yang merupakan salah satu mitra binaan Rumah BUMN Baturaja, mengungkapkan rasa syukurnya terhadap program sertifikasi halal yang diterapkan. “Saya sangat terbantu dengan adanya sertifikat halal ini. Karena dengan mengantongi sertifikat ini, meningkatkan kualitas dan daya saing produk saya, apalagi membuka peluang untuk mengenalkan produk Keripik Macho ke pasar yang lebih luas lagi,” ungkapnya.

Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) SMBR Gili Aprial Braja menambahkan SMBR melalui Rumah BUMN Baturaja berkomitmen akan terus memprogramkan mitra binaannya untuk naik kelas dengan mendapatkan sertifkat halal. Secara berkala dan bertahap kegiatan ini akan terus ditingkatkan sehingga semua mitra binaan memiliki sertifikat halal.

PALEMBANG – In an effort to continue to encourage the progress and role of women in operational activities, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR), as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), was awarded the award for the Best Company for the Development of Female Workers by the Province of South Sumatra (Sumsel).

This appreciation was realized in the form of a certificate of appreciation given directly by the Acting Governor of South Sumatra, Agus Fatoni, to the Vice President of Corporate Secretary of SMBR Bashtony Santri at the Arya Duta Hotel, Palembang City, South Sumatra on Thursday (14/12) at the peak of the commemoration of Mother’s Day. 95 of 2023.

Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of South Sumatra, Agus Fatoni, said that celebrating Mother’s Day was a form of respect and appreciation for the struggles of Indonesian women from time to time.

“The theme of this Mother’s Day celebration contains the meaning that women must have the ability and capacity to empower their families so that they can be a motivation for their environment,” he said.

This award was given as a form of recognition for SMBR’s contribution and commitment in creating an inclusive work environment, supporting the development of the potential of the female workforce.

SMBR VP of Corporate Secretary Basthony Santri revealed that SMBR’s commitment reflects strong support for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in achieving the fifth goal related to Gender Equality.

Currently SMBR has 148 female employees working in all operational areas. Based on the number of female talents in the company, the composition is 16.5 percent based on the 2022 SMBR Annual Report.

SMBR ensures that the work environment is healthy and conducive to encouraging optimal development for the best talents regardless of gender differences and preventing discrimination. This is also in line with BUMN’s main value, namely AKHLAK.

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) succeeded in receiving prestigious national awards at the 2023 Indonesia SDGs Award (ISDA) and 2023 Indonesia CSR Award (ICA) held by the Corporate Forum for CSR Development (CFCD). The award was received directly on Monday (4/12) at the Westin Hotel, Rasuna Said, Jakarta.

This event is an awards event given to companies that save energy, carry out environmental conservation, carry out social activities in the community and various positive things as a contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At the ISDA event, SMBR received 2 Gold category awards through two programs, namely the Land Conservation Program on Critical Post-Mining Quarry Land Using Silvicultural Methods to Create Green Habitat for Trigona Bee Colonies and Optimizing White Clay Products, Which Are One of the Downstreams of the Cement Industry and Supporting Food Security National.

Meanwhile at the ICA event, SMBR received 1 award in the Gold category through the Beeyond Mining program: Ecosystem Preservation on Critical Post-Mining Quarry Land Using Silvicultural Methods Utilizing It for Trigona Bee Cultivator.

SMBR Vice President of Corporate Secretary, Basthony Santri said that this award is concrete evidence of the company carrying out sustainable operations and business practices to support the realization of sustainable development (SDGs).

“SMBR’s commitment to sustainability is reflected through the implementation of company programs and initiatives that apply ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. “The main goal is to increase the company’s business resilience in the future,” said Basthony.

A total of 32 companies with a total of 63 programs and 9 individuals at CEO level took part in the ICA 2023 awards event. Meanwhile at ISDA 2023, a total of 100 companies, 172 programs and 14 individuals at CEO and Executive level took part in this activity.

On Monday (27/11) PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), SMBR Management held a friendly relationship with PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (PUSRI) in order to strengthen business ties between the two companies.

The ongoing friendship between SMBR and PUSRI aims to strengthen the white clay business relationship as a raw material for NPK fertilizer which has been established since 2019. This business has great potential, which will provide significant benefits for both parties.

Located at Wisma Melati, PUSRI Complex, Palembang City, South Sumatra. The meeting was attended by the Main Director of SMBR Suherman Yahya accompanied by staff and warmly welcomed by the PUSRI Directors including Main Director Daconi Khotob and Director of Operations & Production Filius Yuliandi and staff. Daconi Khotob, who currently holds the position of President Director of PUSRI, previously served as President Director of SMBR.

Suherman Yahya said that the collaboration that has been established with PUSRI so far is a strategic step to increase competitiveness and provide added value between the two companies, especially in the white clay raw material business.

“This year, SMBR succeeded in obtaining a patent from the Ministry of Human Rights through ‘White Clay Production Process as Raw Material for NPK Fertilizer’. “Because the white clay produced by SMBR is considered more efficient and produces the best quality raw materials,” said Suherman.

Meanwhile, Daconi Khotob explained that this collaboration would bring positive synergy. Together to achieve extraordinary achievements and make a positive contribution to the fertilizer and cement industry, especially as the white clay raw material produced by SMBR has a patent.

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held an audience with the Acting (PJ) Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) Agus Fatoni in the South Sumatra Governor’s Meeting Room, Palembang City, South Sumatra on Tuesday (21/11).

From this audience, SMBR introduced the company’s new management in accordance with the results of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on November 8 2023. Introducing the new SMBR Main Director Suherman Yahya who was previously Director (Operations Function) and replaced Muhammad Syafitri as Director ( Operation Function) is new.

Acting Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fantoni welcomed the arrival of the SMBR board of directors. Agus hopes that SMBR will continue to work together in making the South Sumatra Provincial Government’s (Pemprov) priority programs a success. “Our priority programs are reducing stunting, extreme poverty, inflation, regional elections. Meanwhile, forest and land fires, thank God, are increasingly subsiding. “To carry out this program, of course we must continue to synergize with BUMN, BUMD and the private sector,” said Agus.

At the end of the meeting, SMBR Management gave the SMBR History Book (which had previously been introduced at the 2023 SMBR Public Expose Event on 24 October 2023) to the Acting Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fantoni which was given symbolically by SMBR Main Director Suherman Yahya who was accompanied by the SMBR Board of Directors .

“The book is a summary of SMBR’s journey starting from its achievements, strategic role and contribution to SMBR in infrastructure development and the national economy, especially in the Southern Sumatra region.” Suherman said.
