Palembang, 30 May 2023 – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) received a visit from the management of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra on Friday (26/5). This visit was in the context of friendly relations and strengthening post-integration synergies.

The visit was carried out by the Main Director of SIG, Donny Arsal, Director of SIG Supply Chain, Yosviandri, Director of Operations at SIG, Reni Wulandari, Director of Human Resources and General Affairs of SIG, Agung Wiharto and Director of Business and Marketing of SIG, Subhan and was received by the Main Director of SMBR, Daconi Khotob, Director of SMBR Operations Function, Suherman Yahya and Director of SMBR Finance & HR Function Rahmat Hidayat. In addition to strengthening post-integration synergies, this visit also saw reclamation and revegetation activities in the post-mining area of SMBR which was utilized as a habitat for Trigona bee colony cultivation.

The Main Director of SMBR Daconi Khotob in his remarks said, the joining of SMBR to SIG, is expected to improve operational performance to achieve company goals effectively and efficiently and provide quality products and good service not only for SMBR but also SIG as the holding.

“Not only that, the composition of SMBR’s employees is mostly filled with millennials, which reaches 87 percent, meaning they are ready to be invited to run for the progress of the company and the holding,” said Daconi.

Meanwhile, the Main Director of SIG, Donny Arsal expressed his gratitude for the welcome given by SMBR colleagues. As Holding, SIG really appreciates this activity. The challenges in 2023 will not be lighter. Therefore, the synergy between SIG and SMBR is expected to generate new advantages, better market coverage, and more efficient production costs which will ultimately improve the company’s performance.

At the event, the management of SIG and SMBR also planted New Crystal longan tree seeds (Dimocarpus longan) as an effort to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions. Then proceed with visiting the SMBR mining area where reclamation and revegetation activities have been carried out using a silvicultural system, which is an innovation from the SMBR Beeyond Team in managing ecosystems in the post-mining land area as a habitat for Trigona bee colonies.

The green area resulting from the reclamation program grows many types of plants. The 30.14 hectare land in the post-mining area is a habitat for fruit trees, flowering ornamental plants, and plants with medium to tall trees. This type of ornamental plant which contains a lot of nectar and pollen is what bee colonies like very much, so the idea of using this plant as a habitat for Trigona beekeeping emerged.

Trigona bees or often referred to as kelulut bees, clancing, klenceng, or bells are one of the largest stingless bee genera. Trigona is a type of honey bee that is mostly kept traditionally by rural communities around forest areas.

Currently, SMBR’s Trigona beekeeping is 45 bee colony boxes and Alhamdulillah, Trigona honey production has reached 10-12 liters per 2-3 month period of harvest.
SMBR plans to empower experienced local beekeepers in the Baturaja area to develop this innovation. So that it is expected to be able to educate other communities to participate in beekeeping independently, and can become one of the activities that support the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Palembang, 21 May 2023 – In commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Province of South Sumatra (Sumsel). The Provincial Government of South Sumatra held a Decorative Car Carnival on Sunday (21/5).

The carnival which was attended by each agency in South Sumatra including OPD, BUMN/BUMD and vertical agencies was released by the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru at the yard of Griya Agung, Palembang City. The routes taken were from Griya Agung, Polda Intersection, Charitas Hospital Intersection and finished at the South Sumatra Governor’s Office.

Of the dozens of decorative cars that took part, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) was chosen as the first Favorite Champion. On that occasion, SMBR Manager of Public, Government & Media Relations (PGMR) Rian Alfiana Assega who attended the event after receiving a two-door refrigerator prize, said that for this carnival we decorated with the theme of Elephant, because this animal is an iconic symbol of SMBR.

“Elephants are known as strong animals and have extraordinary physical strength. Therefore, SMBR chose the elephant as its symbol to represent quality cement products and be able to provide structural strength and durability in construction projects,” added Rian.

Meanwhile, the Head of the South Sumatra Province Culture and Tourism Office, Aufa Syahrizal added, for participants there were 51 participants from OPD, BUMN/BUMD, vertical agencies and others.

“This event was held for the first time and was initiated by the chairman of the TP PKK of South Sumatra Province, Febrita Lustia Herman Deru. In the future, this activity is expected to continue to be held to maintain culture and tourism destinations,” he said.

According to him, cars are decorated according to their wishes, uses or messages to be conveyed from their respective agencies. So according to the creativity of each participant.

Meanwhile, the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru, thanked all parties. The reason is, the more activities held can boost the economy in South Sumatra.
“Currently the economy is gradually recovering and this is followed by a spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation, tolerance and no less importantly a spirit of competition,” he said.

Palembang, 15 May 2023 – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a Subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) through Rumah BUMN Baturaja held regional cooking training for UMK Foster Partners. This training was held at the Baturaja BUMN House on Monday (15/5).
The training was attended by 20 participants, the participants were taught basic cooking techniques and guided by resource persons who are experienced in the culinary field, namely Mrs.
This training taught about various types of pempek, such as pempek lenjer, submarine, adaan, and other pempek models. The participants also learned about proper dough processing, selection of quality ingredients, and how to produce the perfect pempek texture.
Meanwhile, one of the training participants, Yuliana, who is engaged in the culinary business, revealed that training like this was good and useful for MSEs to follow.

“I am very enthusiastic about this training, because we were taught from the start on how to choose quality ingredients for making pempek and then learn to process the right dough and produce delicious and delicious pempek,” said Regline.

Yuliana hopes that in the future more and more training can be made to support and improve the abilities and capabilities of MSEs and involve more business actors.

Jakarta, 8 May 2023 – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for Fiscal Year 2022 at the Sari Pacific Hotel, Jakarta on Monday (8/5 ) led directly by the Main Commissioner of SMBR, Franciscus M.A Sibarani.

At the AGMS, SMBR managed to record positive performance in the 2022 financial year by pocketing a net profit of IDR 94.83 billion, growing 103% compared to the 2021 period of IDR 46.7 billion. SMBR also agreed to distribute a dividend payout ratio of 20% with a total cash dividend value of 18.96 billion and the remaining 80% or IDR 75.86 billion to be designated as other reserves.

Main Director of SMBR, Daconi Khotob said that in 2022, SMBR was able to record sales volume growth of 4% to 2.01 million tons, even though the demand for cement nationally, especially in the South Sumatra region which is SMBR’s main market, has experienced a correction.

Not only that, SMBR also managed to record revenue throughout 2022 of 1.88 trillion, growing 7% compared to last year’s period. In terms of EBITDA, it was recorded at IDR 437 billion, growing 5% compared to 2021.
“This positive performance record is inseparable from the success of the Company’s strategic initiatives in 2022 which focus on three initiatives, namely Cost Leadership Through SMBRGO45 Program, Strengthen Market Positioning and Competency Improvement of Employees. This is the company’s flagship program in order to streamline costs in various fields and implement best practices in operations so as to achieve positive performance,” said Daconi Khotob.

The AGMS also approved changes to the composition of the company’s management. The company expresses its gratitude and gives its highest appreciation for the contribution of the replaced company management in maintaining the financial and operational performance of SMBR.

The meeting honorably dismissed Tubagus Muhammad Dharury as Director (Finance and HR Function).
Furthermore, the Meeting appointed the Board of Directors of the Company, namely Rahmat Hidayat as Director (Finance and HR Functions).

In 2022, SMBR has channeled funds to social, economic, environmental and legal and governance pillars reaching a total value of Rp. 2.64 billion above 2021’s Rp. 1.75 billion.

In terms of the Governance Aspect, SMBR’s commitment to implementing aspects of good corporate governance SMBR managed to get a GCG Assessment score of 94.02 with a Very Good predicate above the 2021 score of 93.846 and the Risk Maturity index achieved a score of 4.22 with the predicate Mature or Transformed has increased significantly from the 2021 score of 3.46. This achievement reinforces SMBR’s commitment to making governance the foundation of a sustainable business.
