Welcoming Eid al-Adha 1446 H, Semen Baturaja Distributes 13 Sacrificial Cows in Three Operational Areas

BATURAJA – Welcoming Eid al-Adha 1446 H, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), distributed assistance of 13 sacrificial cows worth a total of IDR 315 million to three operational areas of the company, namely Baturaja, Palembang, and Lampung.

The distribution of sacrificial animals is part of SMBR’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program which is routinely carried out every year as a form of the company’s commitment to the community around the operational area.

Distribution of assistance is carried out in stages. In Lampung, the distribution was carried out on June 4, 2025, while in Palembang and Baturaja it was carried out on June 5, 2025. Specifically for the Baturaja area, activities were centered at the SMBR Main Building, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU).

In Baturaja, cattle aid was distributed to the community in ring 1 around SMBR’s operations, covering six sub-districts including Sukajadi, Air Gading, Talang Jawa, Tanjung Agung, Saung Naga, and Batu Kuning. In addition, two villages also received aid, namely Laya Village and Pusar Village. SMBR also distributed one cow each to the OKU Regional Government and the As-Sulthon KPR TGI Baturaja Mosque.

In Palembang, aid distribution was focused on the ring 1 community around the SMBR Palembang Office, Kertapati. Meanwhile in Lampung, sacrificial animals were handed over to residents of two sub-districts in the SMBR Panjang operational area, namely Way Lunik and Pidada.

The handover of aid was carried out symbolically to local officials, village heads, and village heads. Furthermore, each sacrificial animal will be distributed to the recipient community by the respective regional apparatus.

SMBR’s Vice President of Corporate Secretary, Hari Liandu, said that this program is a real manifestation of the company’s concern in establishing good relations with the community.

“Eid al-Adha is not only about worship, but also about sharing and strengthening ties. Through the distribution of sacrificial animals, we hope that the benefits can be directly felt by the community and strengthen the harmonious relationship between SMBR and the surrounding environment,” said Hari.

The same thing was also conveyed by the Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of SMBR, Teguh Prawito.

“Alhamdulillah, this year we can again distribute sacrificial animal assistance to the community around the operational area. Hopefully it will bring blessings and broad benefits,” said Teguh.

Appreciation was also expressed by the Head of Saung Naga, M Reza Nurahman, who represented the recipients of assistance in Baturaja.

“My deepest gratitude to PT Semen Baturaja for donating one cow. Hopefully this contribution will continue and benefit our residents,” said Reza.
