Semen Baturaja Won Two Awards from the 2023 GRC & Performance Excellence Award Event

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) received two awards at the same time at the 2023 GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) & Performance Excellence Award at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta on August 30 2023. The first award in the individual category was received by Tarida Tambunan Vice President (VP) of Performance Management Office SMBR received the award as The Best GRC Millennial Leader 2023.

In addition, SMBR also received an award as The Best GRC For Corporate Operations 2023. This award was received directly by Tarida Tambunan and Heru Rusdiansyah as SMBR’s Vice President of Risk Management.

The 2023 GRC & Performance Excellence Award is an award event in the fields of Corporate Governance (GCG), Risk Management and Compliance Management. The purpose of this award is to encourage sustainable corporate business improvement through policy development and implementation of integrated Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance.

SMBR in 2023 is considered to have implemented many things including revising the GCG soft structure, dissemination of the 2023 Minister of BUMN regulations, implementation of the gratuity control program, technical guidance on prevention and prevention of bribery, gratuities and corruption, recertification of SNI ISO 37001:2016 anti-bribery management system, corporate risk mitigation and implementation of GCG self-assessment.

“To support the implementation of GRC in the company, SMBR has carried out various GRC innovations such as the Whistleblowing System which consists of input reports, realtime notifications, report progress and report history. The next innovation is SMSB (Semen Baturaja Management System) Apps which consist of SOP drafting, SOP stamping, expired SOP records and online SOP access. “And the next innovation is GCG Apps which focuses on sign compliance statements,” said Tarida Tambunan.

This year’s GRC & Performance Excellence event was led by Ir. Irnanda Laksanawan Deputy Ministry of BUMN for Strategic Industrial and Manufacturing Business Sector 2010-2014. Participated by more than 500 companies, not only state-owned companies, but also companies that have gone public, national private companies and multinational companies. After the selection stage was carried out, 200 finalist companies were selected. Then after going through the final assessment process including judging interviews, 52 companies were determined to be eligible to receive the 2023 GRC & Performance Excellence award.

Based on the analysis of experts and professionals in the fields of GCG, Strategic Management, Finance, Banking, Insurance, ICT, Research & Innovation who became the 2023 GRC & Performance Excellence Award Jury in the judging process, decided that these companies were considered to have implemented GRC well in accordance with the values and risk management that apply internationally.

The 2023 GRC & Performance Excellence Award was organized by BusinessNews Indonesia Magazine in collaboration with competent institutions such as KNKG (National Committee on Governance Policy), Open Compliance and Ethics Group (OCEG – USA) with 60 thousand members worldwide, also with FMR (SOE Risk Management Forum) with members of all BUMN and BUMN subsidiaries.
