Semen Baturaja Partners with KPK to Continue to Improve Anti-Corruption Integration

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) collaborated with the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to hold Technical Guidance (Bimtek) Control and Prevention of Gratification, Bribery and Corruption which was held virtually on Tuesday (8/8).

This Bimtek invited resource person Wahyu Hidayat as Head of Task Force 3 of the Directorate of Anti-Corruption for Business Entities KPK RI and moderated by M. M’uammar Syah Reza Senior Manager of Secretarial & Stakeholder Management of SMBR and was attended by all SMBR personnel, Affiliates and Subsidiaries of SMBR.

The activity was started by remarks from Vice President of Performance Management Office SMBR Tarida Tambunan as a representative of Management, he said SMBR is committed to playing an active role in efforts to prevent and fight corruption in the corporate environment, through the implementation of good corporate governance values.

“Apart from that, our efforts to prevent and fight corruption are also through implementing AKHLAK cultural values, implementing integrated risk management, internal control, Whistleblowing System (WBS) reporting media, implementing SNI ISO 37001: 2016 Anti-Bribery Management System and the Gratification Control Program in every operation. the company’s business processes,” said Tarida.

Meanwhile, Wahyu Hidayat, Head of Task Force 3 of the Directorate of Anti-Corruption for Business Entities, the Corruption Eradication Committee of the Republic of Indonesia, in his presentation, reminded state officials to reject gratuities related to their position and contrary to their obligations or duties.
He added that do not accept and give gifts in any form that are included in gratuities, because it should be suspected that this could lead to acts of bribery. Report directly to the KPK and submit the form of gratuity for a maximum of 30 working days to avoid criminal-related articles.

“In increasing awareness and understanding of anti-corruption, we encourage the business world, especially SOEs, to maintain their commitment in carrying out the role of SOEs, starting from private individuals, families, to institutions, to prevent criminal acts of corruption,” he said.

The event was closed by M. Mu’ammar Syah Reza as the moderator giving his appreciation to the KPK RI for holding Bimtek to educate business actors, especially SOEs, so that they continue to prioritize business competition with integrity through the quality of public services.
