BATURAJA – In an effort to increase sales and competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) through Rumah BUMN Baturaja held a Product Branding & Packaging Design training. This activity took place at the Kemuning Hotel, Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra on Tuesday (27/8).

The training, which was attended by 50 MSMEs from various sectors, presented Reza Apriandi, Founder of Boesku Indonesia, as a resource person. Reza, who is known as an experienced practitioner in mentoring MSMEs to move up a class, provided in-depth insights into the importance of branding and packaging in strengthening product competitiveness in the market.

The training materials include branding theory, packaging design, and product photography techniques. In addition to theory, participants also had the opportunity to practice directly attractive packaging design, packaging processes, and effective product photography techniques. The purpose of this training is to help MSMEs improve the quality of their products so that they are more attractive and have a higher selling value.

Reza Apriandi emphasized that product packaging not only functions as a protector, but also as an identity of the product itself. “Attractive packaging design can be the main attraction for consumers. It is important for business actors to understand that packaging is the identity of the products they sell,” he said.

In addition, Reza also emphasized the importance of quality product photos as a determining factor in purchasing decisions. “Attractive and clear visuals will increase consumer confidence in the products offered,” he added.

Gili Aprial Braja, Senior Manager of CSR Semen Baturaja, who also attended this activity, expressed his hope that this training would provide real benefits for the participants. “We hope that through this training, MSMEs in Baturaja can improve the quality and competitiveness of their products in an increasingly competitive market,” said Gili in his speech.

He also added that this program is part of Semen Baturaja’s commitment to supporting local economic empowerment through Rumah BUMN Baturaja.

SMBR currently fosters at least 261 MSME actors under the auspices of Rumah BUMN Baturaja. Hundreds of these business actors are divided into several categories, namely Go Digital, Go Online, and MSME Naik Kelas, with 19 of them having successfully entered the MSME Naik Kelas category.(*)
