Strengthening Core Values, Semen Baturaja Holds Town Hall Meeting AKHLAK 4 Future

BATURAJA – In order to celebrate four years of the BUMN AKHLAK cultural value which is entering its 4th year, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held an AKHLAK 4 Future Town Hall Meeting which took place at the Wisma Ganesha Hall, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU) on Wednesday (7/8).

Present at the event were the ranks of the SMBR Board of Commissioners including President Commissioner Alex Iskandar Munaf who attended offline, Commissioner Hadi Daryanto and Independent Commissioner Chodwadja Sanova who joined online, and Secretary of the Board of Commissioners Agus Darmawan who also attended offline and accompanied the President Commissioner. From the ranks of the SMBR Board of Directors, President Director Suherman Yahya, Director (Finance & HR Function), and Director of Operations Muhammad Syafitri, along with all SMBR employees.

In his speech, SMBR President Commissioner Alex Iskandar Munaf provided deep motivation to invite all employees to continue to commit to the transformation of the AKHLAK culture. “We always prepare an adaptive mentality and create resilience, so that Semen Baturaja is able to survive amidst various threats of disruption and world changes, and not get trapped in a comfort zone. The company must continue to upgrade itself along with the progress of the times, until it succeeds in realizing Semen Baturaja’s ideals of becoming a global cement company. Make the AKHLAK philosophy a provision of enthusiasm to continue to work and innovate. AKHLAK BUMN as core values ​​should be a foothold to move up a class and capital to win in competition,” he said.

Furthermore, he also emphasized the importance of thinking logically and factually in taking action. “In every step we take, it is very important for us to always think logically and based on facts. This is part of our commitment to continue to maintain integrity and professionalism at Semen Baturaja,” he said.

Meanwhile, SMBR President Director Suherman Yahya emphasized the importance of implementing AKHLAK values ​​in every aspect of work and daily life. “This commemoration is not just a ceremonial event for us to celebrate that morals were initiated, but hopefully on this occasion we can again reflect, internalize, improve if still lacking, fix and implement seriously for the AKHLAK values ​​that are the cultural values ​​of our company,” he said.

The AKHLAK 4 Future Townhall Meeting was also filled with various discussion sessions and sharing sessions as well as the AKHLAK Quiz designed to test and deepen participants’ understanding of these values.

Not only that, SMBR President Commissioner Alex Iskandar Munaf also visited employee facilities and infrastructure on Tuesday (6/8). This visit included the workplace area, health facilities, sports, break rooms, and mess. This step is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to create a healthy, safe, and comfortable work environment to support the productivity and job satisfaction of all employees.
