Fully Committed to the Economic Pillar, Semen Baturaja Again Wins Two TJSL & CSR Awards 2024

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) has again won two prestigious awards at the 4th TJSL & CSR Award 2024 by BUMN Track with the theme “Contribution of the Four Pillars of BUMN TJSL in Supporting the Achievement of SDGs” which took place at the Grand Ball Room of the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta on Tuesday (30/7).
SMBR managed to take home two awards including the Strong Commitment CEO Award on Economic Program of CSR which was given to SMBR President Director Suherman Yahya and the Four Star Award with Gold Predicate in the Economic Pillar category. The award was received directly by SMBR’s Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Gili Aprial Braja.
This award was given as a form of appreciation for SMBR’s full commitment in implementing the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Previously, SMBR received an award at the same event last year with the Silver predicate.
Gili said last year we received the silver predicate, this year it has increased with the achievement of the Gold predicate, which is real proof of the company’s contribution to the community through various CSR programs that have been implemented.
“This award is a motivation for Semen Baturaja to continue to contribute to the community through sustainable programs such as strengthening entrepreneurship, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) which are fostered through Rumah BUMN Baturaja and cooperatives based on local resource potential through community empowerment, one of which is the Economic & Education Bee Farm Program,” he said when receiving the award.
Meanwhile, CEO of BUMN Track SH Sutarto said that the TJSL & CSR Award is not only an award for BUMN’s concern but is a real commitment and responsibility of BUMN to build a better country through social and environmental contributions.
During the four years of implementation, many program innovations have been created by BUMN as a contribution to community welfare and environmental preservation. The latest one carried out this year, BUMN Track not only gives appreciation to the company but also to those in charge of the TJSL Committee. “This award is not just recognition, but motivation to continue to innovate and increase efforts in creating a positive impact. “Amid global challenges such as climate change and social inequality, the role of BUMN in implementing TJSL and CSR policies is becoming increasingly important,” said SH Sutarto.
