Continue Collaboration, Semen Baturaja and South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office Agree on Handling of Civil and State Administrative Law

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) and the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Sumsel) extended their cooperation in the field of Civil and State Administrative Law (TUN). The extension of this collaboration was marked by the signing of an agreement between SMBR President Director Suherman Yahya and Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office Yulianto, at the Semen Baturaja Office in Palembang City on Monday (10/21).

The event was also attended by the SMBR Board of Directors, namely Director of Operations Muhammad Syafitri, Director (Finance & HR Function) Rahmat Hidayat along with SMBR Vice President, Assistant for Civil and State Administrative Law of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office Rachmad Vidianto and a number of South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office officials.

In his speech, Suherman Yahya emphasized the importance of legal support from the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office so that SMBR’s operational activities continue to run safely and smoothly in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance. “This agreement is a continuation of the previous MoU cooperation. We from Semen Baturaja as one of the national vital objects hope to get direction, guidance, and input from the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office to ensure that our operations are in accordance with applicable legal provisions, especially in the fields of civil and state administration,” said Suherman.

He also emphasized that the main purpose of this cooperation is to strengthen the handling of legal problems, both inside and outside the court. “We hope that this collaboration can make it easier for us to get consultations related to disputes in the fields of Civil and State Administration Law,” said Suherman.

Meanwhile, the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office, Yulianto, added that this agreement includes handling legal problems, asset recovery, and legal assistance from the State Attorney. The South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office will also act as a facilitator and mediator in the legal problems faced.

“This agreement must be a real step, not just a formality on paper. We hope that PT Semen Baturaja will not hesitate to ask for help and legal protection from us when facing challenges, especially in the civil and state administration realms. The South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office is the solution for PT Semen Baturaja,” said Yulianto, who was named the Best Head of the High Prosecutor’s Office in Indonesia,” explained Yuli. (*)
