Bandung – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) cooperates with Balai Besar Bahan dan Barang Teknik (B4T) in Engineering Field. The signing of a memorandum of understanding was conducted by VP Operation I SMBR, Taufik and Head of B4T, Budi Susanto at Central Office of Materials and Technical Goods, Bandung Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
The signing of this MoU aims to increase the cooperations between State-Owned Enterprises and Government-owned institutions. Cooperation is also pursued to support government efforts to enhance the competitiveness of SOEs amid an increasingly competitive industry climate.
The scope of cooperation between SMBR and B4T includes Exchange of technical information and experience covering engineering fields, Improvement of technical skills through exchange of experience based on the principle of mutual benefit, Collaboration in joint research and development programs in the field of Materials and Technical Goods, especially by utilizing local materials for testing and / or for the manufacture of cement and its derivative products, Cooperation of testing material samples of raw materials as well as products and quality assurance of test results, Training and certification, Calibration Cooperation, Technical Inspection, Proficiency Test, Consultancy, and Cooperation of other activities required by both parties.
VP Operation I SMBR, Taufik argued that B4T as a government agency that has the ability in the field of supervision over the quality of materials or goods. “We believe that the test results of raw materials and products samples that will be done by B4T could be a benchmark and quality assurance from Semen Baturaja who has been known as great” he said.
In addition, this cooperation is also carried out as an effort to encourage the development of the cement industry in the future, one of them is by developing cement derivative products such as the manufacture of precast concrete, paving block, etc. (Corsec SMBR)
