Semen Baturaja Wins Five-Star Rating at the 2025 Indonesia CSR Excellence Award

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk’s strong commitment to implementing sustainable and inclusive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs has once again received national recognition. At the 2025 Indonesia CSR Excellence Award (ICEA) held at the eL Hotel Bandung, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk won four awards, with the highest rating of five stars.

In the company category, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk was awarded Best CSR for Community Involvement and Development, Best CSR for Inclusive Business, and Best CSR for Employee Welfare. Furthermore, in the individual category, the Best Leadership Focus on CSR Program award was awarded to Suherman Yahya, ST. MT, in appreciation of his visionary and consistent leadership in integrating CSR into the company’s business strategy.

The ICEA 2025 jury deemed PT Semen Baturaja Tbk successful in delivering a comprehensive CSR program, encompassing community empowerment, strengthening inclusive business, and improving employee welfare. These programs were deemed not only to have a social impact but also to strengthen the company’s long-term sustainability.

The Best CSR for Community Involvement and Development award was awarded for the company’s success in actively engaging the community through various empowerment programs based on local needs. Meanwhile, the Best CSR for Inclusive Business category reflects PT Semen Baturaja Tbk’s commitment to encouraging the participation of vulnerable groups, MSMEs, and local communities in the company’s business value chain.

In the Best CSR for Employee Welfare category, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk was recognized for successfully creating a safe, inclusive, and sustainable work environment through employee welfare programs that encompass aspects of health and safety (K3), capacity building, and the principle of non-discrimination.

The individual award for The Best Leadership Focus on CSR Program, received by Suherman Yahya, ST. MT, reflects leadership that places CSR as a strategic pillar of the company. Under his leadership, CSR is implemented not only as a social program but as an integral part of corporate governance that supports Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Indonesia CSR Excellence Award 2025 is organized by First Indonesia Magazine in collaboration with an independent panel of judges representing academia, government, CSR practitioners, and professional associations. The assessment process was conducted objectively and transparently, adhering to ISO 26000 standards, ESG principles, and social impact and sustainability measures.
