Semen Baturaja Wins 3 Blue Proper from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia

PALEMBANG – Three factories of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) won the Green Proper Certificate from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), last Thursday (07/04). These three factories are the Kertapati Packing Unit, the Panjang Factory Unit, and the Baturaja Factory Unit.

This certificate was symbolically handed over to SMBR by the Head of the Environment and Land Office of South Sumatra Province, Drs. H. Edward Candra, M.H in the Hall Building of the South Sumatra Province Land and Environment Office, represented by JM Environment PPG Imam Pratama Azi and JM Environment PBR Novian Hadi KH.

SMBR as an environmentally friendly cement producer, has advantages in carrying out the Environmental Preservation Movement program, namely reducing carbon emissions, efficient water use, B3 waste management and implementing the 3R system (Reduce, Recycle, Reuse), and protect biodiversity.

The award obtained is a form of the company’s commitment which is in line with SMBR’s Vision to Become the “leading Green Cement Based Building Material Company in Indonesia”.{}
