Gelar Teknologi Tepat Guna XIV of South Sumatra Province which was centered on the OKU Baturaja Sports Building Field has been going on lively. The Closing of the XIV TTG was held on Saturday (07/28) and was attended by the head of Department PMD South Sumatra Provincial who was also the Chairperson of the TTG Committee H Yusnin, OKU Regent H Kuryana Azis, OKU Police Chief AKBP Dra NK Widayana Sulandari, Operation I VP PT Semen Baturaja (Persero ) Tbk Taufik Ibrahim, along with the invitation of representatives of regencies / cities in South Sumatra.

The Governor of South Sumatra, represented by OKU Regent H Kuryana Azis, in his remarks at the closing ceremony, said through this year’s Gelar Teknologi Tepat Guna in the province of South Sumatra it had opened up great opportunities and opportunities for technology practitioners to be able to create works that are right and useful for the benefit of society.

Gelar Teknologi Tepat Guna display and present various information on the development of the application field and the use of simple technology that can support the productivity of the agricultural sector or other small industrial sectors. In addition, this Gelar Teknologi Tepat Guna has also produced important thoughts through the Rakornis Forum and Workshop which will be useful to encourage the growth of the local economy, especially in rural areas. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of visitors to find out the work of good technology generation in the Baturaja Sports Arena, with the public’s curiosity about the various technologies on display.

The head of Gelar Teknologi Tepat Guna XIV committee, H Yusnin said that the event was successfully held, safe and smooth. The success of this activity is the result of good cooperation between the provincial committee, the regional committee and all parties involved.

The judges for the Gelar Teknologi Tepat Guna XIV delivered by Dr Alamsyah said there were 5 categories that were assessed and entitled to get Trophies, charter and coaching money. PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk became the First Champion in the general category. Trophy and awards and coaching money were handed over by OKU Police Chief AKBP Dra NK Widayana Sulandari.

The PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk stand raised the theme of the Outstanding Products of Foster Partners, Greening and Natural Resource Potential of OKU. In general, the display stand of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk provides an overview to visitors regarding the natural wealth and biological and non-biological resources that exist in OKU as well as the handicraft products of the Foster Partners. The results of the judges’ assessment showed the superiority of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk which far surpassed the stand of other general categories with the acquisition of a total value of 360 points.

The success of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk to achieve this achievement is also the success of all parties, especially in developing the government towards the development and application of intermediate technology in the community. The result were very delightful and can encourage the better socialization of intermediate technolody in South Sumatera province, especially in OKU regency, where the environmentally friendly PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk factory is located.

PALEMBANG, Located at the Meeting Room 1^st Floor PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk Head Office and Palembang Factory, on Tuesday (17/05) an online surety bond training socialization event was held for vendors at PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk by Perum Jamkrindo.This event was opened by SMBR Director General & HR Mr. Amrullah. This event was also attended by Mr. Basthony as VP Procurement and VP Management Accounting, Mr. Liandu Day along with members in the Procurement Division and all partners / vendors of SMBR who were also invited to this socialization event. The team from Perum Jamkrindo who attended the occasion was Mr. Heryanto Nugroho as the Head of Palembang’s Jamkrindo Public Corporation was accompanied by staff.

The Surety Bond Online socialization was a follow-up to the signing of a cooperation agreement between SMBR and Jamkrindo which took place at the Ministry of State Owned Enterprise’s Building on May 17, 2018. General Director & HR SMBR, Mr. Amrullah said that he welcomed Jamkrindo’s move to introduce surety bonds online to the company’s vendors. He said the company had around 100 vendors or suppliers who were active in participating in the procurement of goods and services.

The Surety Bond Online offered by Jamkrindo can provide convenience for vendors in issuing collateral guarantees and implementation guarantees needed in the process of tendering goods and services through online registration and guarantees will be issued within 1 day.

“For us, the suppliers are easier to manage the guarantees because it is online. All this time, they need to take time to process the guarantees. Now it can be easier and more efficient. So, the process of procuring goods and services is faster,” he said. (Corsec SMBR)

In order to further strengthen the relationship between educational institutions and state-owned companies, PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Jambi at the Rector of UNJA, on Wednesday (06/06).

MoU in the field of Education, Research and Community Service for a period of 2 (two) years was signed directly by Pgs. President Director of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk Amrullah with the Chancellor of UNJA Prof. H Johni Najwan SH, MH, Ph.D. This Memorandum of Understanding will then be followed up with a cooperation agreement which will be discussed in more detail.

Previously, Semen Baturaja had also established similar cooperation with various well-known universities in Indonesia such as ITS, UNSRI, UGM, UNILA and UNBARA. Semen Baturaja will continue to collaborate in another form, which hopes that it can certainly contribute to each other well and beneficially for Semen Baturaja and Jambi University.

On this occasion, Amrullah also explained a little explanation about Semen Baturaja to the leaders of UNJA. Semen Baturaja whose operations center in the Southern Sumatra region is one of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in Indonesia which is engaged in the cement industry. Semen Baturaja already has two integrated cement plants, the latest being the Baturaja II Plant with a production capacity of 1.85 million tons of cement per year and commercial on September 1, 2017, which also contributes to Baturaja Cement production capacity to 3.85 million tons of cement per year.

The potential demand for cement consumption in Southern Sumatra is currently still very high, reaching 6-7 million tons of cement per year and Semen Baturaja continues to make various innovations and business expansion to be able to reach at least 60% market share in Southern Sumatra.

Furthermore, Amrullah said, with this cooperation agreement, it is expected that UNJA could become one of the education institutions that contribute to building healthy SOEs for the country “Especially with the great potential and energy from Semen Baturaja itself,” he concluded.
