Increasing K3 Culture Awareness in the Workplace, Department of Mining Holds 2023 Mine K3 Refreshment Activities

BATURAJA – Taking place at Wisma Ganesha PT Semen Baturaja Tbk last Wednesday (8/3), the Department of Mining held a Mine K3 refresher activity which was attended by all mining worker personnel. Participants who took part in the Mine K3 Refreshment activities totaled 275 people consisting of employees of PT Semen Baturaja Tbk and its affiliates and mining service companies (PT Dahana, PT Tirtha Wandhira Utama and PT Pembangunan Sarana Perkasa) who were partners in the mining process at the Baturaja factory site.

Upon entering the location of the Wisma Ganesha hall, all participants who took part in the Mine K3 Refresher activities registered their attendance and signed a Joint Commitment in implementing Mining Safety and Mining Environment as an effort to be consistent in implementing the K3 culture for every mine worker. On this occasion the Mine K3 Refreshment activity was opened by the Director (Operational Function) Mr. Suherman Yahya, where he conveyed the importance of OSH for every worker, especially mining workers who have a high level of risk of accidents and he conveyed and advised not to let the profits obtained by PT Semen Baturaja Tbk contain a drop of blood in it which was caused by an accident that befell workers.

In refreshing this year’s K3 Mining, all participants were given a seminar with the theme “Mining Safety (Mining Occupational Health Safety and Mining Operation Safety) and Mining Environment” which was delivered directly by resource persons from the Mine Inspector of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) South Sumatra Province by Mr. Faisal Irwan, S.T. and Mr. Said Jamaludin Abdillah, S.T. who delivered material on Mining Safety and Mr. Armaya Sentanu Pasek, S.T., M.T. as Ka. Engineering and Mineral and Coal Receipts Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of South Sumatra Province who conveyed about the Mining Environment.

The seminar ran in an active and relaxed manner where participants could ask questions to the speakers and ask questions according to the material that had been presented. In addition, the best mining service company (contractor) in 2022 will be presented in collaboration with the Mining Department of PT Semen Baturaja Tbk in the mining process by applying good mining technical principles in accordance with the laws and regulations given to PT Dahana and getting back the rotating trophy and certificate of appreciation previously won in 2021. At the end of the Mine K3 Refreshment activity, a group photo was held with the resource persons and giving door prizes to the lucky participants to increase enthusiasm and enliven the activities which are carried out once a year.
