BATURAJA –  PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Award for Semester I 2023 for the Operations Directorate. The activity was centered at the Wisma Ganesha Hall, Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu, South Sumatra on Thursday (27/9).

In this TPM Award activity, appreciation was given to personnel and Small Group Activity (SGA) work groups in 4 categories including Plant Operation, Plant Support, General and Achievement. This activity was also attended by SMBR Directors including Main Director Daconi Khotob and Director of Operations Function Suherman Yahya as well as the Vice Presidents who were present.

SMBR Main Director Daconi Khotob in his speech said that SMBR is highly committed to implementing TPM in a sustainable manner by implementing the TPM program.

The aim of this TPM is to reduce operational disruptions from an early age, increase efficiency in spending maintenance costs, and increase equipment use through optimizing 5R activities (compact, neat, tidy, well-maintained and diligent), autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance and focused improvement, which involves all employees under the Operations Directorate.

“The TPM Award is routinely held quarterly (3 months) and currently only 29 SGA participants have participated, consisting of 26 Baturaja Factory SGAs and 3 Panjang Factory SGAs. The existence of SGA in each work unit has a very important role. Each SGA has its own focus area that must be maintained and cared for. This is so that work units can provide quality work results, more efficient costs and faster service. “It is hoped that production targets can be achieved, maintenance and operational cost efficiency can be achieved as well as a concrete form of SMBR’s efforts in realizing the company’s vision and mission,” said Daconi during his speech.

He congratulated all the existing SGA, both SGA leaders and members who succeeded in winning the TPM Award for the 2023 Semester I Period. “Thank you to the TPM Officer and SGA as well as the parties who have helped carry out this activity. “Hopefully in the future SGA can be formed not only at the Panjang factory and the Baturaja factory but also at the Palembang factory to carry out continuous improvements and upgrades to increase its performance,” he stressed.
