Poslansia Pratama Semen Baturaja Clinic, Evidence of Consistent Concern for the Elderly

BATURAJA – After being inaugurated in October last year, the Integrated Elderly Service Post (Poslansia) initiated by the Semen Baturaja Employee Wives Association (IIKSB) at the Semen Baturaja Pratama Clinic, continues to run routinely every month as a form of commitment to improving the health quality of the elderly.

The program, which is supported by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), is held every second week of every month. This activity is attended by the elderly consisting of retired SMBR employees.

In each meeting, the elderly receive basic health check-up services such as blood pressure checks, blood sugar levels, and regular health consultations. In addition, SMBR through the Berlian Program (Empowering Mothers, Children and the Elderly) also routinely distributes aid in the form of medicines to support the sustainability of health services for the elderly.

One of the SMBR retirees, Mrs. Tina Jhonson, expressed her appreciation for the sustainability of this program. “Since Poslansia was established, I feel calmer because our health is monitored routinely. Medicines are also always available, so we don’t have to worry anymore. Thank you to IIKSB and SMBR who still care about us who have retired,” she said.

IIKSB Chairperson Erni Oktariansari revealed that the sustainability of Poslansia is the result of collaboration between social concern and awareness of the importance of elderly health. “We hope that Poslansia can be a space that not only maintains the physical health of the elderly, but also becomes a place for friendship and sharing stories between generations,” she said.

The same thing was also conveyed by SMBR’s Senior Manager of CSR Kristan Teguh, he said that the company is committed to supporting this program sustainably.

“Retirees are part of the SMBR family who have an important role in building the company’s foundation to what it is today. Through Poslansia, we want to ensure that they continue to receive attention, especially in terms of health. This is part of our social responsibility that does not stop after the end of the work period,” he explained.

With the sustainability of this program, SMBR once again shows that concern for the community, especially the elderly, is part of the company’s long-term commitment to grow with the surrounding environment. (*)
