Semen Baturaja Synergizes with the PUPR Office of Palembang City Holds Bimtek Certification of Skilled Construction Workforce Competency

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) together with the Office of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) held technical guidance (Bimtek) Competency Certification for Skilled Construction Workers.

The training was attended by 1,600 service workers in the construction sector which was officially opened by the Regional Secretary of Palembang City, Ratu Dewa, in the courtyard of the Sako District office on Tuesday (18/10).

The activity took place from 18 – 21 October 2022. This training was attended by SMBR Marketing Director Mukhamad Saifudin, PUPR Construction Competency and Productivity Director Dedy Natrifahrizal Dedisky Nazaroeddin, and Akhmad Bastari Head of the Palembang City PUPR Service.

“Workers must be proud of using Semen Baturaja’s local products. The skills that workers have will become a valuable asset in the construction sector.” said Mukhamad Saifudin in his speech.

Ratu Dewa said that this provision aims to provide skills and knowledge in the construction sector for workers in several fields, so that the quality standards they have are certified.

The training materials provided included the application of Baturaja Mortar Pairs of Lightweight Bricks and Baturaja Mortar Pairs of Ceramics and Baturaja Cement PCC Type. Baturaja Ceramic Pair Mortar as a material for Construction Worker Competency Test on the criteria of a Ceramic Builder. Then the PCC type of Baturaja Cement is used for Competency Testing Criteria for Bricklayers.

“We want to increase the competence of construction workers in Palembang City. So that they have direct experience in using Semen Baturaja products in the construction sector.” he added.

Through this training, it is hoped that in the future the Construction Workforce will be able to become competitive, superior and reliable human resources in their field.{}
