Strengthening Friendship with Media Crew, Semen Baturaja Holds Friendly Football Match with FC Journalists

PALEMBANG –  The Sports, Spirituality and Arts Development Agency (BAPORKES) PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) has once again initiated an inter-agency sports event. This time BAPORKES held a football sport which was packaged under the title “Trofeo Sparing Partner” which was held on Saturday (16/9) at the Jakabaring Athletic Stadium, Palembang City.

SMBR’s opponents this time are FC Journalists which consists of fellow journalists (FC Journalists) and Synergy FC, a combination of football communities from BUMN and BUMD in Palembang City. This match was held with the aim of strengthening ties between agencies in Palembang to create good communication.

Chairman of BAPORKES SMBR Rian Alfiana Assega said that Trofeo, which consists of three teams, could be part of a positive company culture for each agency.

“In an increasingly fragmented work environment, group sports activities can help overcome social isolation. “Employees can feel more connected with their colleagues outside the work environment,” said Rian.

Vice President of Corporate Secretary SMBR and supervisor of BAPORKES SMBR Basthony Santri added that this activity is hoped to be an opportunity for SMBR to  interact with other companies in a more relaxed atmosphere than formal business meetings. Besides, companies can also promote healthy lifestyles among their employees.

Herdian as the FC Journalist representative said that this activity should be carried out regularly. According to him, this activity will create a good impression on the mass media. Herdian, who is also the Chief Editor of Bisnis Indonesia Palembang, said he would always be objective in his reporting. However, objectivity will also emerge from good communication.(*)
