Policy Regarding Employment and Human Rights
PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk carries out corporate social responsibility related to manpower and human rights with reference to:
- Law No.13 of 2013 concerning Manpower.
- Law No.2 of 2004 concerning the Settlement of Industrial Relations Disputes.
Employment
The Company strives to be able to fulfill the rights of employees as regulated in Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. This law is also the basis for the company in carrying out industrial relations with workers. The Company strives to be a company that abides by the principles and abides by the rules, including in the fields of manpower, occupational health and safety. The Company strives to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The company pays high attention and commitment to gender equality and job opportunities, job training to improve employee professionalism, a system of commensurate remuneration and occupational health and safety for all employees.
Human Rights
As a state-owned company, the Company is committed to complying with all legal provisions and the principles of Human Rights (HAM) because employees are one of the main stakeholders of the Company. Human Rights are a set of rights inherent in the nature and existence of humans as creatures of God Almighty and are His gifts that must be respected, upheld and protected by the state, law and Government, and everyone for the honor and protection of human dignity. Respect and protection of human rights is an inseparable part of the Company’s operations in interacting with each other between Semen Baturaja people, stakeholders and other stakeholders. Technically, the implementation of corporate social responsibility related to human rights is closely related to matters relating to employees, such as human resource management, health and work safety. This is stated in the Collective Labor Agreement (PKB) between the Company and its employees. The company targets to be able to apply the human rights principles set out in the CLA. This will create a comfortable and conducive work environment and be able to foster the company’s sustainability.
